Not the sort of book you would read cover to cover in one sitting, but very enjoyable to pick up and read for a while and then set down again.I think I know a lot about famous musicians but the vast majority of the info in this book was new to me

This book is a fascinating collection of little known facts about a wide variety of musicians. Organized alphabetically, you'll get information about Taylor Swift side-by-side with Jethro Tull. The tidbits are not run of the mill. I'm a music-head, and I found much that I did not know, some of it anecdotal from the author's experiences. Very entertaining.
This was a truly fun and educational read! My first surprise was that musicians and singers from many eras are included. I'm old enough to have been around for most of them (although not Mozart). I liked the format of the book, as it allows me to pick it up any time and read as much as I wish. Each offering is usually a very short piece, and the writing is to-the-point. No wasted words here. Well-edited!
This is a great book. It's incredibly well written, and has detailed facts bout music that you won't typically find elsewhere. Mark Asher does a great job bringing to life these fascinating music facts.
