Very interesting and informative I love this book. I'm a big fan of Hawaii Five-0 old & rebooted show love the information that the author is giving on both shows. From the directors, the production supervisors, location manager & others about locations, the blessings and just everything dealing with the shows. It's great to have this book on some of the insides behind both shows.
This has all the appearance of being something that was thrown together to make a fast buck with almost no fact checking. For example, on page 68 Ms Hollar writes, " In the fifth season Al Harrington was cast in the role of Ben Kokua. He continued in that role until the series ended in 1980." Even the most casual fan of the original series knows the Kokua character was being written out of the show during the seventh season and at its conclusion, Mr. Harrington departed not to return. The original show still had four years to run after Harrington left.This is a huge error for a work calling itself "A Fan's Guide..." and makes it impossible for me to believe anything else Ms. Hollar presents as fact in this horrid book. Both she and Tomahawk Press should be ashamed of themselves.
I really enjoyed this book and learned a few things about the old series that I didn't know before. Cheryl Hollar did a great job writing this book.If you are a fan of the new or old series check this book out. Aloha
I really enjoyed the read. Very interesting. A follow-up would be nice with more interviews from the cast.
It is full of information for the Both Tv series. I don't know long I had last read the book.
